		<description>Alec: Agreed — this idea is still very much in the brainstorm phase. Putting something like this into action would require a tremendous amount of political coordination. Leaving aside the logistics of implementation, this policy idea would need, at the very least, some (D) &amp; (R) champions in Congress, a network of supportive Mayors, and grassroots support from city-based organizations like Global Detroit: http://www.globaldetroit.com/. That said, my sense is that this idea, or something like it, would have a decent chance of generating bipartisan support.</description>

		<description>From an economic point-of-view, this is a great proposal to a pressing issue. It would be nice to hear a bit more about the political realities of location-based immigration reform, and what types of policies or pressure would need to occur to have something along these lines happen.</description>
